After worship this Sunday, which is our 1st new worship service, I am heading out to camp. I am really looking forward to this week of working with High School aged youth. Each year I find going up and spending a week discussing God and having fun away from technology and all the distractions to be a great spiritual retreat. I attending this camp from age six until I graduated High School, then I took a year break before becoming a counselor. There is something that is hard to explain about camp, I tend to think of it as Holy Spiritual. There are youth from many different backgrounds and religious upbringings that make it a journey that is by far one of the best I have ever taken. I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned so far from Seminary coursework. Since the last time I posted I have completed a class on Stages of Faith. In this course we learned about the development of peoples faith and the different stages they could be at in their development. One thing that really stood out to me was thinking about faith in a context other than a spiritual or religious one. It is interesting how we all develop faith in something, weather it is science or government or religion. I think I am going to keep this post rather short and end with a question I want to pose to you. Where in your life have you developed faith? And are you happy with where that faith is or do you want more?
