History of Green Chalice

The origins of the Green Chalice starts way back at the 1977 General Assembly. It was there that the "Task Force on Ecology" (side note, coolest name ever, I think we should turn it back somehow) was created. It's goal was to educate and support eco-justice.

Later on the task force was moved under the authority of Disciples Home Missions and with the help of important DHM employees multiple programs, such as "Return to the Garden", DOC Coffee Project, and Green Learning Track, were created between 2000-2010. The Green Chalice Certification project, as we see it today, was also created at this time.
